SUMMARY OF POSITION
Individuals in the job are responsible for assisting Tropical Financial Credit Union in the achievement of its purpose of guiding members successfully through the financial marketplace. This position is a high visibility/high member contact position responsible for processing and posting members' financial transactions, providing account information and cross-selling services and products to meet the member needs.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
- Provide service that meets the Service Standards defined by Tropical Financial Credit Union as measured by the Quality Loop Survey and Internal Service Survey; annual goals are establish through the Performance Management Process.
- Meet all referral and member service goals as defined in the individual's performance appraisal.
- Performs Teller function of handling of cash, checks, deposits, withdrawals, payments and internal transfers of member account funds.
- Performs Head Teller function of balancing the daily transactions and securing the negotiable instruments such as cash, checks and cashier's checks for the branch.
- Participates in business development functions.
- Performs branch operations function of opening and closing office, set up, security, etc. as needed.
- Performs related duties as required with or without accommodation.
- Accountable for understanding and applying TFCU policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements relating to anti-money laundering, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Customer Identification Program, and OFAC.
- Alerts supervisor, branch manager or Security to any suspicious activity regarding transactions including forgery, theft, fraud, kiting, members who appear to be avoiding a CTR (cash transaction reporting).
- In addition to any other assigned training courses, online BSA and OFAC courses must be completed at least annually, as made available by the Training and/or Compliance Departments.
